celuna is undergoing a huge transition. most visibly, my website. but more importantly, the way I interact with my community using tech 😄
I have invested over five years into designing, updating, and cute-fying my original website. This was the first version!
Originally, my business name and site was co-create, the logo was astral themed, and all my offerings were career focused. I spent the last 5 years developing my vision through this website making process... BEFORE I had any clients, a business license/plan, and income. V much a macro to micro girlie.
when i FINALLY got a business license, cocreate was taken as a website name. So I went with the first and last three letters of my name... bc everything sturdy comes in threes.
Above is the final iteration of my site, celuna. which is now gone forever.
WHY?! PORQUE desafortunadamente, in 2024, I discovered Wix, the website building platform I had been using, fired an employee for expressing support for Palestine on social media. Self-explanatory (I hope) reason for no longer putting money into their platform. but just in case...
they support genocide and have embarrassing campaigns...
Also! I literally created celuna to build dreamy paths with historically oppressed people of the GLOBAL MAJORITY. Even more specifically, to access and navigate jobs that serve them, bc the workforce is exploitative and i don't like that.
wix's stance was horrible all around, so I am no longer investing my monies there.
I love that MS COURTNEY of Ireland, took her past employer to court and won SOMETHING. she sacrificed her career and livelihood, but her integrity and soul remain intact, and her impact reverberates, still. Like...I am basically-almost-maybe- sort of, a coder bc of her!!
anyway, here is an article that may encourage you to boycott things as a form of resistance, specific to boycotting Wix.
